How does a Slushy machine work?

The correct Slushy concentrate is needed to produce consistent and great tasting slushies. The quality of the slushiness of the mix relies upon the correct level of concentrate, essentially, the sugar, which prevents unwanted ice crystals from binding together and creating solid clumps of ice.

The Twin Bowl Slush Machine features three major components; a large bowl, a freezing core, and a spiralled mixing paddle/auger rotating around the core. The thermostat-controlled freezing core brings the slushy mix down to the desired temperature while the paddle continually scrapes ice off and away from the core.

Can I put any drink in a Slush Machine?

Of course, you can! But experts do not recommend it. You would run the risk of damaging your machine if the contents of the bowl freeze solid. It is best to use the correct concentrate mix to create a perfect range of flavours to serve customers.
